2024 Bronny James NBA Draft odds: Where will he land?

Could LeBron James and son Bronny James be teammates next year on the Los Angeles Lakers?

According to the odds, it’s possible.

In the wake of Bronny declaring for the NBA draft, while also putting his name in the transfer portal, the Lakers maintained the shortest odds to draft the younger James out of USC.

As a freshman for the Trojans, Bronny averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game. He played in 25 contests, averaging 19.4 minutes.

Bronny’s dad, on the other hand, famously skipped college and was drafted first overall by Cleveland in 2003.

Let’s check out some of the odds for where Bronny might land in the NBA next season.

FOX Sports co-host Nick Wright noted that LeBron and Bronny joining forces as teammates could be in the near future.

“If I were a die-hard Lakers fan, I would be monitoring this,” the host said on the “What’s Wright” podcast last week. “If Bronny leaves, could I see a scenario where Bronny’s college decision and LeBron’s free-agency decision are correlated? Just logic as a father, yeah.

“I think the chances of LeBron leaving the Lakers — however small they are — increase slightly if Bronny decides to transfer from USC.”

FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd gave his insight on the possible LeBron-Bronny-Lakers merger on Monday’s episode of “The Herd.”

“LeBron can get a $180 million max contract. The Lakers could give him that. If Bronny got drafted, he’d make a $1 million in the second round. So, essentially, you’d be paying LeBron $181 million.

“Bronny isn’t a dynamic playmaker and that’s okay … because the Lakers aren’t giving away the future for Bronny.”
